INGREDIENTS
- 1 Romanesco broccoli
- Salt to taste
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil, to season
METHOD
- Wash the Romanesco broccoli under cold running water. Trim the stem end if necessary and remove any leaves attached to the base.
- Place a steamer basket in a saucepan filled with 3cm (1-inch) water and bring water to a boil. Place the Romanesco into the steamer basket and cover. Steam the cauliflower until tender (8-10 minutes depending on the size of the broccoli). Alternatively, use the steamer oven to cook the Romanesco broccoli.
- Carefully remove the steamed Romanesco broccoli from the steamer basket using tongs or a slotted spoon. Transfer them to a serving dish.
- Season with a sprinkle of salt and EVO oil, and serve warm.
